Supervising a G1 driver between lessons? Here's a printable practice log and a few tips to keep sessions useful instead of stressful.

Tips for practicing at home

  • Start in quiet residential streets before moving to busier roads.
  • Pick one or two skills per session rather than trying to cover everything.
  • Stay calm — a tense supervisor makes for a tense driver. Narrate hazards instead of grabbing the wheel.
  • As a G1 supervisor, remember you must be fully licensed, have at least 4 years' experience, and be under the legal BAC limit.
